How do I join the Society?

On most pages on our website there are some green buttons at the right hand side of the page (on hand held devices they are probably at the bottom of the page). Click on the one marked ‘Become a member’.

Where do I find details of my username and password?

These are provided when you first join. For a reminder of what they are please email: membership@ndfhs.org.uk

How do I change my address, or email address?

You can change your own details (name, address, email address) by logging into our website and clicking on My Account.
Alternatively, contact the Membership Secretary by email (see the Contact Us page), or complete the membership enquiry form (see here). In either case please include your membership number; the new details; AND the old details.

Why can I only set up a recurring payment in certain months?

The membership subscription is due by 31st December for the following year. By mid-January we start reminding those members who have not renewed, and recurring payments that are set up after 31st December cause us extra work, and unwelcome reminders for those members who know that they have set them up.

How do I cancel my membership?

Stop paying your subscription! Your membership will lapse after the Winter Journal. We will send you two reminders at the beginning of the new membership year.

How do I unsubscribe from the mailing list?

Send an email to the mailing list containing the single word ‘unsubscribe’ (without the quotes). You must use the email account that receives the mailing list.

How do I sign up to receive the Journal by email?

Contact the Membership Secretary by email (see the Contact Us page), or complete the membership enquiry form (see here). In either case please include your membership number; surname and initials; AND your current email address.

Why didn’t I receive a copy of the e-Newsletter?

The e-Newsletter is sent to all those members who have an email address in the membership database. This is not the same list as the mailing list or Forum. If you did not receive a copy please contact the Membership Secretary by email (see the Contact Us page), or complete the membership enquiry form (see here). In either case please include your membership number, surname, address, and your current email address.

Do you have a list of local websites?

Yes. We have a page called weblinks. This lists the obvious national websites and databases, but also includes local websites (see here).
