Research Centre closing on Thursday 2nd May 2024

In preparation for the move of the Research Centre from Mea House to New England House, the Research Centre will close at 3.00pm on Thursday 2nd May 2024.


Members will notified when an opening date for New England House is confirmed.

The Society, founded in 1975, promotes interest in family history amongst its members and the general public. We invite you to consider joining and to visit our Research Centre with its library and other research facilities.

We have branches in Blyth, Belmont (Durham), Consett, Hexham, London, Newcastle,  Wansbeck, North Tyneside, South Tyneside.

We have a wide range of publications, parish records in particular, for sale.
